9:00 AM - 9:50 AM: Dr. Marc Bloomenstein — “Expert Insights into Dry Eye”
This course will define dry eye disease, the multiple factors that contribute to this disease, the prevalence, the effects on patients, and treatment options available. A variety of diagnostic tools is discussed as well as modern treatment options.
10:00 AM – 10:50 AM: Dr. Caity Morrison — “The Role of Scleral Lenses in Dry Eye”
This course reviews scleral lenses as a fantastic treatment option for dry eye patients. Uncover good candidates within your own practice who might benefit from a scleral lens. Scleral lenses are an excellent therapeutic device for patients with dry eye, Sjogren’s, Stevens-Johnson, neurotrophic keratitis and more.

12:00 PM – 12:50 PM: Dr. Walt Whitley — “What’s New in the Treatment of MGD and Blepharitis”
This lecture will discuss current and future diagnostic treatment options for blepharitis and MGD. Review eyelid scrubs, masks, drops, and other products that patients can use on a routine basis to improve their dry eye. Discover in-office procedures as well as at-home patient management resources.
1:00 PM – 1:50 PM: Dr. Anne Zaki — “Advanced Dry Eye Disease: New Levels, New Devils”
Dry eye patients can often be frustrating and challenging to manage. This course reveals some of the non-traditional treatment options (amniotic membranes, serum tears, biological eye drops, , nasal spray, neuro-stimulation, IPL and more) and when to integrate them into your patient’s dry eye plan.

Dr. Stephanie Woo
Dr. Stephanie Woo is a graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry. She completed a cornea and contact lens residency at the University of Missouri, St. Louis. Dr. Woo is the owner of the Contact Lens Institute of Nevada, a clinic dedicated entirely to specialty contact lenses. Dr. Woo is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a Fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society. Recently, she founded Woo University, an optometric education company. Dr. Woo enjoys lecturing on the topics of scleral contact lenses and anterior segment eye disease. Dr. Woo is the founder of Woo University.

Dr. Marc Bloomenstein
Dr. Marc R. Bloomenstein is a 1990 graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles with a degree in Biology. He received his optometric degree from the New England College of Optometry in 1994. After graduation, Dr. Bloomenstein finished a residency in secondary ophthalmic care at the Barnet Dulaney Eye Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He received his fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry in December, 1998 and is a founding member of the Optometric Council on Refractive Technology.
Currently, Dr. Bloomenstein is at the Schwartz Laser Eye Center. Aside from lecturing and publishing on numerous anterior segment and refractive topics, Dr. Bloomenstein is on the editorial board of Primary Care of Optometry and Contemporary Optometry. Dr. Bloomenstein served as the President of the Arizona Optometric Association, as well as an Optometric Advisor to STAAR Surgical and Medtronics Solan. Dr. Bloomenstein is the President of the Board of the Arizona Optometric Charitable Foundation.
Dr. Caity Morrison
Dr. Morrison is passionate about designing specialty contact lenses to restore sight to those who have lost vision due to severe ocular surface conditions including keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration, radial keratotomy, corneal scarring, pediatric aphakia, severe dry eye, corneal transplants, and ocular disfigurement.
After graduating from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Dr. Morrison completed a Cornea & Contact Lens Residency at SUNY College of Optometry in New York City.
She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), a Fellow of the Scleral Lens Society (FSLS), and the recipient of both the Bert C. and Lydia M Corwin Contact Lens Award and the Johnson & Johnson Award for Excellence in Contact Lens Patient care.
Dr. Walt Whitley
Dr. Whitley serves as the Director of Optometric Services and Residency Program Supervisor at Virginia Eye Consultants in Norfolk, Virginia where his practice encompasses ocular surface disease, glaucoma, surgical co-management, clinical research and the supervision of an extensive referral network. Dr. Whitley is a nationally recognized lecturer on topics ranging from ocular disease, surgical co-management, pharmaceuticals and practice management topics. He serves as Co-Chief Medical Editor for Advanced Ocular Care and contributing editor for the Review of Optometry and Optometry Times
Dr. Anne Zaki
Dr. Anne Zaki received her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. She completed her internship at Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, Mass., and her residency at Boston University Medical Center. Dr. Zaki then completed an ophthalmology fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Dr. Zaki is Board Certified in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Zaki works at Desert Eye Specialists in Arizona.
