A 6-Part Mission to Outwit Glaucoma
Clinical Need: Over 3 million Americans are affected by glaucoma, making it the second leading cause of blindness worldwide. Individuals at increased risk include African Americans over age 40, adults over age 60, patients with diabetes, and those with a family history of glaucoma. Optometrists serve as the first line in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of glaucoma, including the use of pharmacologic and surgical interventions.
Educational Solution: This series is designed to equip ECPs with the knowledge and clinical strategies needed to improve outcomes and address this growing public health challenge.
