New Ideas in Glaucoma

murray fingeret-02.jpg

Glaucoma being a chronic condition requires the patient to take medications daily for the rest of their life. Most glaucoma medications contain preservatives that may impact the ocular tear film and surface. This talk will discuss how the development of the dry eye may impact glaucoma care and ways to manage this. In regard to perimetry, new test patterns and algorithms have developed allowing different parts of the field to be tested as well as the pace to quicken. Also, new methods allow functional results to be integrated with structural findings. This course will discuss the new developments and their role in glaucoma diagnosis and management
