This program will review the current state of the opioid epidemic and its importance in the practice of medicine, its impact on society. We’ll exam the ophthalmic conditions where opioid use is indicated and discuss the indications for topical and oral medications in ophthalmic pain management. Additionally, we’ll review the role of surgical, minimally invasive procedures in the treatment of ocular-related pain.
