Understanding The Psychology of the Keratoconus Patient

Keratoconus patients often go through a roller coaster of emotions when presented with their initial diagnosis. It is important for the eye care professional to understand the mindset of the keratoconus patient, as well as the commonly asked questions. This course will help doctors and staff prepare for these special patients.

Over 900 attended our event and we received amazing feedback!

Feedback from anonymous survey:

  • This was a very interesting lecture and was very informative! Made me think differently about the patient perspective.

  • Thank you for bringing up the important aspects of treating each patient as a person and not just the disease of kerataconus.

  • Great observations on this special population!

  • Thank you for sharing your insights and experiences with keratoconus. I think I have more empathy towards people with keratoconus now.

  • This is a discussion that should be required for all providers. Great pearls for how to take better care of the patient and not just the eyeballs.

  • Good information that I didn’t even think of.

  • Phenomenal speakers, excellent information. I would love to hear the speakers again.

  • All the Dr’s really spoke well to remind us as Dr’s, no matter how busy, empathy is key, though sometimes with time constraints difficult to accomplish. Thx!
