This 1-hour course reviews basics of visual fields in glaucoma, including a providing a systematic approach to interpreting the printout. Emerging concepts such as the use of 10-2 visual field testing in early glaucoma, as well as new test patterns to emphasize early central loss are presented. A short discussion about headset (“virtual reality”) perimetry concludes the course.

VF administration and interpretation has changed since I graduated. There are not many classes on VF. Old timers like me can benefit from more educational classes on VF.

Great presentation. Nice and steady speed. Big, clear pictures. Thank you! This was such a great review of what we learned in optometry school. Thank you so much. Thank you for pointing out the cons of the VR VF machine. I used one in a practice in 2023 when the FDT died. I still think a screener VF is important in an office, but it is so important to know that the stimulus light doesn't get as bright. I don't think a lot of ODs know that. It is all about the hype of the VF having as many points as HVF and it takes up less space. The headset is somewhat heavy so I agree people with neck problems cannot do them.
