Neuromodulation therapies are becoming an increasingly important componentof dry eye management, yet many clinicians still struggle to confidently explain their mechanisms, differentiate available options, and determine appropriate patient selection.
In this practical, case-based program, we will simplify the science behind neuromodulation and provide communication strategies that help patients better understand how these therapies support the body’s natural tear production pathways.
Attendees will learn practical ways to discuss mechanisms of action, set patient expectations, and position neuromodulation within comprehensive treatment plans. We will also compare available neuromodulation approaches, including differences in delivery methods, side effect considerations, and patient suitability across a variety of clinical scenarios. Through real-world cases, participants will gain insight into selecting and combining therapies for patients with differing dry eye drivers and ocular surface needs.
This program is supported in part by an independent medical educational grant from Mylan Inc., a Viatris Company.
