Dr. Stephanie Woo

Dr. Stephanie Woo is a graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry. She completed a cornea and contact lens residency at the University of Missouri, St. Louis. Dr. Woo is the owner of the Contact Lens Institute of Nevada, a clinic dedicated entirely to specialty contact lenses. Dr. Woo is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a Fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society. Recently, she founded Woo University, an optometric education company. Dr. Woo enjoys lecturing on the topics of scleral contact lenses and anterior segment eye disease. Dr. Woo is the founder of Woo University.

Dr. Richard Soden

Richard M. Soden, O.D., F.A.A.O. is a Clinical Professor and currently the Director of Health Care Development At SUNY College of Optometry. Previously, he served as Vice President for Clinical Affairs at SUNY Optometry for 10 years. Dr. Soden graduated from SUNY college of Optometry in 1979. After graduation, he completed a residency program at the Northport VA Medical Center on Long Island. Dr. Soden remained at Northport VA for 26 years as the Associate Chief of Optometry Service. Dr. Soden was also a member of a large optometric practice in Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y. In addition to primary care optometry, his special interests are in pediatrics, children with special needs and low vision rehabilitation for children and adults. He is recognized as a low vision specialist and has worked with the Commission for the Blind for his entire optometric career. After leaving the VA and private practice, Dr. Soden returned to SUNY College of Optometry as Vice President for Clinical Affairs.

Dr. Richard Zimbalist

Richard J. Zimbalist received his optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2008 and then completed a residency in ocular disease at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. He has been awarded Fellowship status in the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Zimbalist is currently on staff at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He holds clinical adjunct appointments at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis College of Optometry and Southern College of Optometry.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Zimbalist has authored multiple journal articles, serves as a peer-reviewer for a major ophthalmic journal, and is actively involved with teleretinal imaging and virtual medicine in his facility and region.

Dr. Katie Connolly

Dr. Katie Connolly is an Associate Clinical Professor and the Chief of the Pediatric and Binocular Vision Services at Indiana University School of Optometry. She serves as the Director of the Myopia Management Clinic as well as the Coordinator of the Pediatric Optometry Residency program. She teaches in the clinic, laboratory and classroom including teaching a course to third year optometry students on optometric coding and billing. She leads several vision screening and eye exam initiatives at the local, state, and international level. Her special interests include amblyopia, strabismus, vision screening, myopia management and inclusive health.
